The Mary Catherine Strobel Volunteer Awards recognize individuals and groups who have selflessly given their time and talents to improve the lives of others in Middle Tennessee. Mary Catherine Strobel was a community volunteer known for her compassion and generosity. She helped start numerous charitable efforts in our community and led a life of service work with homeless, impoverished and those less fortunate. These annual awards were created to honor her memory and celebrate her legacy of service. ![]() Disney Parks Celebrates Your Volunteer Spirit Beginning January 1, 2010 Disney Parks is celebrating volunteerism with the “Give A Day. Get A Disney Day.” program. By completing a day of community service, you are eligible for a free, one-day admission ticket to a Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort theme park. Hands On Nashville makes volunteering easy with our calendar of monthly projects. Simply register for the program at www.disneyparks.com and complete a service project. Ticket quantities for this program are limited. You must be 6 years of age to qualify for a free ticket, and families are encouraged to volunteer together.
