Hunger Action Month

Hunger Action Month takes place annually in the month of September. It is a nationwide initiative of the Feeding America network of food banks to educate the public about hunger relief and encourage our community to take action in the fight against hunger. Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee has identified at least one way each day of the month of September you can get involved! All actions are intended to raise awareness, food, and funds. President’s Circle Sponsor Spotlight

This year, The Grainger Foundation presented a $20,000 donation as part of the annual Hands On Nashville Day service celebration. The donation was recommended by local Branch Managers Dax Jeter and Shelly Mayes. Grainger has been a part of the local business community for more than 25 years as the leading broad line supplier of maintenance, repair, and operating products. “We are happy to support Hands On Nashville,” said Jeter. “We understand the need to make our schools a place that students, parents, and teachers can be proud of.”
